We're proud to announce that our Aged Rum and our Maple Rum both won gold medals in the 2021 San Francisco World Spirits Competition (SFWSC). This is our first year entering the competition, so we couldn't be more thrilled to receive gold status and we're already looking forward to competing next year. 

 

About SFWSC

 

The San Fransisco World Spirits Competition (SFWSC) was founded in 2000 (yes, it just turned 21!) as a way to recognize exceptional products in the spirits industry and is now considered one of the most influential spirits competitions in the world. Over 50+ U.S.-based industry experts taste and review thousands of spirits each April. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, only 30 judges attended (usually about 50), as well as many safety protocols were added to successfully hold this year's event. Over 3,500 spirits were entered for 2021 and the judging process took several weeks to complete. 

 

What does it mean to win gold?

 

There are five medals awarded at the SFWSC: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Double Gold, and Platinum.

Products awarded Gold are considered "Exceptional" and are considered to set the standard for others in their category.
